Motion of Minutes to Approve from April Board meeting – Approved

President report:
⁃ New name for Sports Connect
⁃ TOC is back – Dates TBD
Treasurer report:
⁃ Budget to actual has shrunk despite generous donations
⁃ Discussion around sponsors
⁃ Snack shack business is booming
Old Business:
⁃ Cage project still on track for August
⁃ Sound system project is getting started – trying to get done before district all stars
⁃ Raised 9k for project – corporate matching
⁃ Dave Evans need to submit expenses for shed and tractor
⁃ Shed will arrive on Wednesday.
⁃ Fundraising
⁃ Launchpad, MB and others to feature on our socials – consensus is “no”.
⁃ Conversation around how to use email blast – with family approval.
⁃ Volunteer Spotlight – Continued series
⁃ Snack Shack – pre-order before you get to field – automate
⁃ Merch for pre-order as well.
⁃ Grounds Crew
⁃ Evolution of grounds crew is in progress for next phase as Ted Sr winds down.
New Business
⁃ All Star stuff is on order – Hats were behind schedule – majors uniforms needed replacement – $100 still sufficient to cover all star costs.
Commissioner reports:
⁃ Juniors – not participating in TOC, All Stars debatable
⁃ Home Run Derby – 6/6
⁃ Minors – Nothing to discuss
⁃ Minor A – discussion around phasing for next year, all stars and discussion around keeping it an 8U, not official but consensus around keeping it at 8U for future precedent
⁃ Farm – some discussion around managing multiple teams – different than coaching multiple teams – topic and potential bod vote for future bod meetings.
⁃ Tee-Ball – Nothing to discuss
⁃ Sluggers – going well, bunch of kids could be playing in tee ball. Good development.
New Business:
⁃ All Star Voting is this weekend
⁃ Friday before Memorial Day
⁃ Conversation around All Star posting time and order of events
⁃ Sectionals at Joe Wag – 11U
⁃ Increasing fees if you don’t participate / what’s the accountability
