In Attendance: Jon Weiberg, Blake Schaefer, Jon Stone, Ross Murray, Anjuli Marotto, Emily Wilkerson, Mark Vaughn, Andy Revell, AJ Rea, Danny Searle, Seth Leibick

Motion of Minutes to Approve from March Board meeting – Approved.

President Report:

  • District meeting (zoom) tomorrow (4/14). Training and background checks to be discussed.

 

Treasures Report:

  • Will be discussed in April meeting or distributed beforehand.

Old Business:

  • Snack shack improvements completed.
  • Majors BP cage project earmarked for August start date. 100% approval and commitment to be discussed in April meeting.
  • Sound system bid discussion. Going to get a 2nd bid. Email will be sent to board for approval. Motion approved to move forward if $2K in donations gathered and treasure approves Fundraising/marketing.
  • Little league day info to be sent out once we connect with Giants. (May 9th game).
  • Need to pressure test number of fundraisers allowed per little league per year -other fundraising ideas being discussed.
  • Timely updates for field closures (Gilardi and Kirby) specifically. Looking for improved comms from grounds crew.
  • First aid kit discussion to ensure every bag has appropriate kits.
  • Discussion around player placement /evals/guidelines to continually look to improve player placement’s future state.

Divisional Updates:

Juniors – 32 kids – two teams – Joe Della Cella and Ted Meyer Junior are coaches.

Majors – Nothing to update on.

Minors – Nothing to Update on.

Minor A – Machine pitch being well received by players and coaches.

Rookie – Nothing to update on.

Farm – Nothing to update on.

T-Ball – Nothing to update on.

Little Sluggers – Nothing to update on.

New Business:

  • Looking at improved ways of tracking/submitting/storing background checks and abuse awareness certifications/medical waivers as well as volunteer commitments throughout season.
  • Fall Ball update: Discussion around changing format of fall ball next season. Motion approved. Seth to put email together to layout the new/revised format.
  • Cove tractor and shed project: Discussion around placing a shed and potentially purchasing a tractor for cove grounds crew.
