"When you have fun, it changes all the pressure into pleasure." -- Ken Griffey, Jr

Minors is for league age 9, 10, & 11 year olds. Most children play for a total of 2 years before graduating to Majors.

Competition is part of the game. The kids play a standard 6-inning game, with three outs per side. Scores and standings are kept throughout the regular season, and a seeded playoff tournament determines the champion, who then represents TCLL in a Tournament of Champions against other local teams leagues.

Instruction and participation, however, remain essential in Minors: Every player is in the batting order at all times. No child may sit out more than 2 innings in a game. The goal is to continue developing their skills, learn new techniques, and enjoy the game.

Minors registrants attend mandatory evaluations in January. After the evaluations, the Minors coaches conduct a draft to determine rosters. All evaluation and draft-related information is strictly confidential.

Roster assignments are finalized in February, and parents will be notified about their child's placement.

Most games and practices are held at either Cove, Joe Wagner, or Town Park fields.
