2020 Majors tryout details
The Majors tryouts will be held Saturday (January 25th) at the Linedrive facility in San Rafael. The address is: 3160 Kerner Blvd, San Rafael, CA 94901. All players league age 10, 11 and 12 are eligible for the Majors Draft and are required to tryout in order to be drafted. We strongly encourage all age appropriate players to attend the Majors tryout. Returning Majors players should not attend the tryout. We will be conducting the tryouts in 2 groups as follows:
- 9:00am – 11:00am – Players w/ last name beginning with “A thru K”
- 11:00am – 1:00pm – Players w/ last name beginning with “L thru Z”
Please note the following critical details:
Arrive 15-20 Minutes Early – Please have your players arrive, ready to play ball, at least 15 minutes before their scheduled tryout for check-in.
Linedrive Waiver Release / Facility Registration – Please go online and register your player(s) prior to the tryout. Here is the link from the LineDrive website: You should click on the “Registration” tab on the Linedrive website: https://www.linedrivebaseballandsoftball.com/
NOTE – Players will not be able to use the facility unless / until the Waiver Registration is complete. Please do this in advance.
Attire & Gear – Players should come ready to play baseball with their hat and glove. DO NOT WEAR CLEATS. The tryouts will be indoors on turf, so athletic sneakers are best. The league will provide batting helmets and bats for the hitting portion of the tryout.
Draft – The Majors Draft will be conducted Saturday evening following the tryout. Players will be notified of the draft results on Sunday (Jan 26th). Expect practices to commence immediately following the draft.
Supplemental Tryout – Please do your absolute best to make tryouts during your scheduled time. For those few players that are unable to make the Saturday tryout, we will be holding a short Supplemental Tryout on Thursday evening (January 23rd) at Linedrive from 6:00pm – 7:30pm. All details mentioned above still apply. Please let us know in advance if you plan to attend the Supplemental Tryout.
